Humane Investigator
Entry level Humane Investigator needed to assist with animal rescues, investigations and enforcement of animal laws. Must be compassionate towards animals and excellent in working with a broad spectrum of people on responsible pet ownership and animal issues in the community. Excellent communication and computer skills, meticulous report writing and documentation. Experience with animals a plus. Must be available for day, night, and weekend shifts in high-paced environments and able to qualify for HPD deputization. Valid driver license and a clean driving record required.
Must enjoy working with the public and broad spectrum of supporters.
Shelter Veterinarian
To actively manage dynamic and high volume animal care programs to increase animal placement and decrease euthanasia of adoptable animals. Requires strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively manage and communicate with animal care and veterinary staff and volunteers.
Duties include managing health and welfare of shelter animals; performing high volume spay/neuter surgeries; managing animal abuse forensic investigations, acting as liaison to veterinary community and spokesperson for the Society’s animal care programs. Previous experience in shelter medicine is desirable but not required.
Salary commensurate with experience.
