Feral Cat Sterilizations

The Society's goal is for every cat on Oahu to have a home. To help cats living in colonies, the Society offers free sterilization services.

How to Register

  • To register for the Feral Cat Sterilization Program, download the Agreement Form provided here. Fill it out and bring it to the Incoming Animals area.  Download the Feral Cat Agreement here.

Here’s How It Works

  • Cats need to be at least 2 pounds and 8 weeks of age.
  • Sterilization (spay/neuter surgery) will be performed free of charge.
  • Cats must be brought to the Humane Society in humane animal traps, (one cat per trap). The trap should be loosely covered with a towel for the animal’s comfort.
    • All cats in this program must have microchip identification.

  • All participants must complete and sign the Feral Cat Sterilization Program Agreement.
  • Cats must be in a wire live animal trap or in a transfer cage.  Only one cat per trap/cage is allowed.
  • Cats must be dropped off after 10 pm the before surgery or before 8 am the day of surgery.
  • Cats can be picked up after 6 pm but no later than 11 pm the day of surgery.
  • All fees are due at the time of admission: surgery is free,  microchip is $5.
  • Additional fees are charged for animals left in our care pre and/or post surgery beyond specified time limits:
    • Early Drop Off (anytime before 10pm the day before the scheduled surgery) $20
    • Late Pick Up (anytime after 11pm the day the scheduled surgery)  $20
    • Overnight stay for Walk-In appointments  $20
