Dog Bite Prevention Workshop

It is no wonder that dogs are the most popular pets in America. They are wonderful companions and offer unconditional love and joy to their owners and caretakers. Our Mr. Bugs Dog Bite Prevention Program was developed to help people and dogs live harmoniously together in the community.

Free workshops are available by appointment to businesses and community organizations. Workshops are approximately 45 minutes, including a ten-minute video and workbooks for participants.

The workshop includes:

  • How to recognize the four major types of dog behavior
  • Tips on how to avoid being surprised by a strange dog
  • How to respond safely
  • What to do if you are chased or attacked

To schedule a free workshop for your group or organization, call 356-2247.

This educational program has been made possible through the generous support of Larry and Patricia Rodriguez in memory of Mr. Bugs, their wonderful, feisty fox terrier who gave them years of joy, love and companionship — and chose his friends carefully.
